Three local Langley basketball players set to take the court against Japan's U18 national team

A key cog with the Brookswood Bobcats and two members of the Trinity Western Spartans women’s basketball team will be suiting up as part of a B.C. Selects team.

Brookswood’s Tayla Jackson and Trinity Western’s Kayla Gordon and Chantelle Martin are going up against an under-18 squad from Japan in a three-game exhibition series.

The first two games are at the Langley Events Centre on April 2 (Wednesday) and April 3 (Thursday) before wrapping up on Saturday (April 5) at UBC’s War Memorial Gymnasium.

The B.C. team is coached by former Canadian women’s national team coach Allison McNeill.

Admission to the game is by donation with proceeds going to the local KidSport chapters.
