Bulldogs take bite out of Blaze

Langley bullpen can't hold late-game lead, fall 6-2 to Burnaby

The Burnaby Collegiate Bulldogs put up six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to rally out of a 2-0 deficit and win 6-2 over the Langley Senior Blaze.

The two men’s Pacific International League baseball teams hit the diamond at Robert Burnaby Park on June 5.

Blaze starting pitcher Steven Federau cruised through four innings, allowing no runs on two hits and one walk, while striking out five.

But the Burnaby batters got to relief pitcher Trevor Lishanko in the fifth, batting through the line-up and scoring six times on five hits and a walk.

Kevin McLeod and Devon Olson had an RBI apiece for Langley.
