Kyle Burroughs has been selected to play for Team Pacific at the upcoming U17 World Hockey Challenge.

The tournament will be held Dec. 29 to Jan. 4 in Windsor, Ont.

The 5-11, 175-pound defenceman was among the 22 players named to the team.

The squad is made up of players from B.C. and Alberta.

Burroughs, a Langley Minor Hockey Association product, is currently playing for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League.

The 16-year-old has one goal and three points in 17 games.
