White Rock Renegades pitcher, Jocelyn Cater’s busy year is about to get even busier, after she earned a spot on Canada’s junior national softball team earlier this week.
The 17-year-old Delta native will be competing in the Junior Women’s World Championship in Cape Town, South Africa December 6-17, 2011.
At the age of 16 earlier this year, the pitching phenom was the youngest player to ever play for Canada’s national women’s fastpitch team.
Cater made her pitching start at the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Champtionships in South Surrey in July, and was recently named to the Team Canada roster for upcoming Pan-Am Games, to be held in October in Guadalajara, Mexico.
