Caps continue Langley dominance

Rivermen junior A hockey club falls again to Cowichan Valley

The Cowichan Valley Capitals continue to have the Langley Rivermen’s number.

The Capitals improved to 5-0 against Langley after posting a 6-4 win on Friday at the Langley Events Centre in BCHL junior A hockey action.

The Caps led from start to finish with Langley Minor Hockey product Richard Vanderhoek scoring once and setting up another.

For the home side, Evan Campbell scored twice, including a short-handed marker, while Darnell Dyck and Ben Grenier had the other goals.

Keyler Bruce and Matthew Grant both scored a pair for Cowichan while Logan Proulx had the other goal.

Langley visits Surrey on Feb. 22 (Wednesday) before heading to Vancouver Island for games on Friday in Victoria and Saturday against Cowichan Valley.

The Rivermen wrap up a busy weekend with a Sunday matinee against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs at 2 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre.
