The Chilliwack Golf Club will host the Brad Clapp Scramble May 7 to raise money for the local golfer.
Clapp will be heading out on his third season on the PGA Tour Canada, looking to build on a successful sophomore season.
Clapp played in 12 events last year and earned his first PGA Tour Canada victory in August, taking top spot at the Great Waterway Classic.
He tied for 15th at the Bayview Place Island Savings Open in June.
Clapp made the cut in nine of 12 tourneys and finished the year with $40,039.
The money comes in handy as he pays his own way around the country.
This year’s tour will include one stop in Nova Scotia, three in Ontario, one in Manitoba, one in Saskatchewan, three in Alberta and three in British Columbia.
The Clapp Scramble will cost $50 per player, which buys nine holes of two-player scramble-format golf, a burger and beer and a shot at some nice prizes.
A 5 p.m. shotgun start will see men hitting off the blue tees and women hitting off the green tees.
The event will include silent and live auctions.
Golfers can register in the pro shop or call 604-823-6521.
