Clearwater and District Minor Hockey is one of five Kamloops-area community groups that are benefiting in the latest round of gaming grants from the provincial government.
The local hockey group is to receive $20,200 from provincial gaming revenue.
“The groups receiving community gaming grants provide invaluable services, from search and rescue to encouraging healthy living through sports,” said Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Terry Lake.
Other groups receiving grants are Kamloops and District Humane Society ($6,250), Kamloops Search and Rescue Society ($12,000), Kamloops River City Racers Speed Skating Club ($9,000), and St John Society BC and Yukon – Kamloops Branch ($40,000).
Across British Columbia, 101 recipients will share $1,861,891 in this latest round of grants from provincial gaming revenue.
