The Nanaimo Clippers renew a rivalry this week when they face the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
The Clips host the Caps this Friday (Oct. 23) in the first meeting of the season between the neighbouring teams.
The Shipmen (8-6) have a chance to gain ground in the standings on the Capitals (8-2-1-2), who are off to a surprising start to the B.C. Hockey League campaign.
Notably, it will be the 15th game of the season for the Clippers, meaning they will reach the quarter pole of the BCHL season. It’s the only game of the weekend for Nanaimo.
GAME ON … The Clips and Caps face off Friday at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena. Tickets will be available at the door.
