Clippers too much for Bulldogs

The Nanaimo Clippers doubled up the Alberni Valley Bulldogs 6-3 in B.C. Hockey League action on Thursday night at Port Alberni.

Gavin Gould led the Clippers with a hat trick, while Spencer Hewson had two goals and two assists. Devin Brosseau also tallied and Evan Johnson made 43 saves for the win.

GAME ON … The Clippers play back-to-back home games this coming weekend (Feb. 19-20) against the second-place Powell River Kings at Frank Crane Arena. Friday’s faceoff is at 7 p.m., with Saturday’s game at 6 p.m.
