Clippers win big in rematch with Grizzlies

The Nanaimo Clippers blew out the Victoria Grizzlies 7-2 in BCHL action Sunday down the Malahat.

The Nanaimo Clippers avenged a loss to the Victoria Grizzlies right away.

The Clips blew out the Grizz 7-2 in BCHL action Sunday down the Malahat, just two days after Victoria doubled up Nanaimo 6-3 at Frank Crane Arena.

Sunday’s result marked the first loss of 2016 for the Grizzlies.

Seven different Clippers scored – Gavin Gould, Spencer Hewson, Sheldon Rempal, Edwin Hookenson, Charley Borek, Will Reilly and Matt Hoover. Yanni Kaldis had three assists. Johnson made 28 saves for the win as his team outshot the opposition 44-30.
