Dogs demonstrate skill in 100 Mile

Cariboo Agility Team hosts annual event at Lumberman's Park

With the guidance of their owners, trained dogs made their way through obstacle courses at Lumberman’s Park as part of the Cariboo Agility Team’s annual Agility Association of Canada trial, Aug. 23-24.

A total of 248 runs were made in 23 classes.

“Another great agility trial was held in 100 Mile House,” says Roxanne Ziefflie, Cariboo Agility Team president. “The weather was perfect and the grounds were top notch as always.”

While many dogs qualified in individual events, the following titles were earned:

Naomi Packer, and her Corgi “Tegwen”, from Big Lake, earned a Steeplechase Gold Award of Merit.

Quesnel residents Kay Whitehead, with her Border Collie “Nell”, and Laura Norie, with her Nova Scotia Duck Toller “Nina”, earned Advanced Agility Dog of Canada titles.

Elizabeth Porath, and her springer Spaniel “Callie”, from Kamloops, earned their Snooker Bronze Award of Merit.
