Grade 8 and 9 basketball players in the Comox Valley are advised that North Island Basketball BC elite camps will be held in April.
The camps are for those who wish to not only improve their game, but to try out for a Basketball B.C. regional team (North Island). “These camps are crucial in improving the level of basketball play in our Valley, and give local players a chance to compete at an elite level,” a spokesperson noted.
The following times, camps and dates are for four different groups.
April 1- 2 at G.P. Vanier the Under 15 boys camp for local school team members (Grade 9), coach Larry Street. Start time Friday the 1st at 5 p.m., preregister at 4:30 p.m.
April 8-9 at G.P. Vanier the Under 14 boys camp for local school team members (Grade 8), coach Blake Tobacca. Start time Friday the 8th at 5 p.m., preregister at 4:30 p.m.
April 15-16 at G.P. Vanier the Under 14 and 15 Girls tryout camp (Grade 8 and 9), U14 coach Grant Ashlee, U15 coach Sherri Houlden. Start time Friday 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.
