On Sunday, the Abbotsford Heat received a big addition in the form of Guillaume Desbiens, who was reassigned by the Calgary Flames after clearing waivers.
The 6’3″ power forward was a thorn in the side of the Heat over the past two seasons as a member of the Manitoba Moose, and he also suited up for 13 games with the Vancouver Canucks during that period. He inked a one-year, two-way contract with the Flames/Heat in July.
With Desbiens, the Heat have 26 players left in camp, with more players expected to arrive from the Flames this week.
