Jaret Babych is back in BC.
The ex-Chilliwack Chief and son of ex-National Hockey League defenceman Dave Babych has surfaced on the roster of the Simon Fraser University Clansmen.
The Clan play in the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League, a five team circuit that includes the Trinity Western Spartans, Victoria Vikes, Eastern Washington Eagles and Selkirk College Saints.
Babych, who spent three seasons (2011-14) with the Chiefs, played last season at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, where he collected nine goals and 14 points in 21 games for the NCAA division-three Corsairs.
His new team includes one familiar face.
Ex-Chiefs goalie Lyndon Stanwood transferred to SFU over the summer after spending 2014-15 with the NCAA division-three Lake Forest College Foresters.
