The Sardis senior boys basketball team starts its championship chase with a ton of momentum after a huge home-court victory last weekend.
The Falcons played their last home game of the year on Saturday, tackling the defending BC champion Walnut Grove Gators.
In front of a packed house, Sardis dismantled the champs, taking an 83-69 decision.
Senior Hayden Lejeune led the attack with 31 points. Eric Rogers had 24 and Grade 10 star Colin Kellington added 16.
The Falcons enter the Fraser Valley championships as the fifth seed in the 24 team field.
They open tonight with a game at Gleneagle secondary school.
Six teams from the Fraser Valley will make the provincial tournament.
