Brar Basketball hosts a free one-hour ball-handling clinic Friday (Jan. 27) at the Vancouver Island University gym before the VIU Mariners teams play home games that night.

The clinic, from 3:45-4:45 p.m., is for boys and girls of all ages and will be led by coach Avneet Brar. All camp participants will be invited to stick around afterward and watch, free of charge, that night’s PacWest basketball games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Brar Basketball is then hosting a shooting clinic on Saturday night at Oliver Woods Community Centre. Cost of the 7-9 p.m. clinic is $25, with all proceeds going toward helping future camp participants who may struggle with registration fees. Athletes are asked to bring their own basketball to the shooting clinic if they can.
