The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) is organizing a golf tournament at Mission Golf and Country Club to raise money for The Residence in Mission, a new complex residential care facility.
The event is part of the Mission Possible campaign, which is aimed at equipping the new building with extra furnishings and comforts.
The Residence is a 200-bed facility that replaced the Dr. Stuart Pavilion and Pleasant View Care Home for seniors. It opened in April.
The FVHCF hopes to raise $1 million in the campaign.
The nine-hole tournament will begin at 1 p.m. on September 19. VanMar Constructors Inc. is the title sponsor for the event. Cost of entry is $250 per person and a tax receipt will be issued for a portion of the price. To register online visit www.MPGolf.kintera.org.
