Grizzlies beat Prince George for final four berth

The GW Graham Grizzlies are two wins from a provincial championship game after beating the Prince George Polars 28-8.

Jordon Breuker ran for 158 yards and two touchdowns, throwing another in a 28-8 football playoff win over Prince George Saturday night.

Breuker’s junior varsity GW Graham Grizzlies hosted the Polars on a rainy night at Exhibition Stadium. Baker Douglas was Breuker’s top receiving target, snagging four passes, one for a TD.

Running backs Billy Hansen and Tristan Davis racked up 86 and 73 yards respectively behind the blocking of big man Jaren Lengert.

Cainen Bergh led the GWG D.

The Polars had all kinds of trouble holding onto the football. Bergh recovered two fumbles, taking one back for a major. He added eight tackles and two quarterback sacks.

The Grizzlies are into the final four, taking on the Argyle Pipers Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m. at Abbotsford’s W.J. Mouat secondary school.
