Austin Donaldson scored twice and Brendan Burge scored the overtime winner to lift the Revelstoke Grizzlies to a 5-4 win over the Kamloops Storm Saturday night, salvaging a weekend that started with a 7-3 loss to the expansion Summerland Steam on Friday. Donaldson, 17, was a late addition to the Grizzlies but he has put up seven points in seven games since he joined the team.

It was a mixed weekend for the team as they started off poorly but ended strong. The Grizzlies gave up seven straight goals to the Steam on Friday before scoring three of their own in the third period in the 7-3 loss. Saturday night saw the Grizzlies once again fall behind. They trailed 2-1 after the first and 4-2 after the second before coming back to win 5-4 in overtime.

Despite the mixed results, Revelstoke did badly outshoot their opponents in both games. At the  same time, Revelstoke switched goalies both games.

This weekend, the team takes on the winless Columbia Valley Rockies in Invermere on Friday before coming home to play the Sicamous Eagles on Saturday at 7 p.m.
