The G.W. Graham senior boys basketball team served notice that they’re a team to be reckoned with, going 3-2 at the Abbotsford Snowball Tournament last week.
The AA Grizzlies started Thursday with an eye opening 65-58 win over the AAA powerhouse Yale Lions.
In their second game, they gave the province’s top-ranked team from Kelowna secondary school a fierce fight, eventually falling 83-71.
The Grizzlies bounced back to beat the 10th ranked Burnaby South Rebels 74-71.
In their final game on Saturday, GWG yielded 84-70 to the seventh ranked Kitsilano Blue Demons.
The Grizzlies return to league play Thursday night, facing Mission’s Heritage Park secondary school at 8 p.m.
