Three goals in three minutes helped the Victoria Grizzlies blast the Langley Rivermen 7-1.
The Rivermen visiting the Grizzlies’ den at Bear Mountain Arena on Thursday night in BCHL junior A hockey action as the rivals met for the second time in less than a week.
And much like the first meeting — a 5-1 Victoria victory — the Grizzlies were all over Langley on the scoreboard.
Wesley Myron potted a pair in the first period and Wade Murphy made it 3-0 after 40 minutes.
The Grizzlies then scored three times in the first 4:24 of the third period, with Myron completing the hat trick and Dante Godinho and Jarryd Ten Vannholt adding singles.
The sixth goal marked the end of Langley goaltender’s Michael Barr’s night.
Rivermen defenceman Ryan Bakken ruined Jamie Tucker’s shutout bid.
Cam Lawson scored late for Victoria to round out the scoring, the only shot out of a dozen to beat the Rivermen’s Jim Kruger.
