GW Graham basketball star ranked among B.C.’s best

Deanna Tuchscherer is a big reason why GW Graham's senior girl's team will be a handful for any opponent at this week's AA provincials.

Deanna Tuchscherer is already recognized as one of the top high school basketball players in the province, and she's only in Grade 10.

Deanna Tuchscherer is already recognized as one of the top high school basketball players in the province, and she's only in Grade 10.

Chilliwack’s Deanna Tuchscherer has been named one of the top 15 players of the 2016-17 season by the B.C. Secondary Schools Girl’s Basketball Association.

Players on the list were selected by a panel of BCSSGBA members and weren’t ranked 1-15.

Tuchscherer, a guard/forward, has averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the GW Graham Grizzlies senior girl’s squad.

Her production is particularly amazing because she’s only in Grade 10.

Tuchscherer’s team opens AA provincials tomorrow (Wednesday) night with a 5:15 p.m. tipoff at the Langley Events Centre versus North Vancouver’s Windsor Dukes.
