The Test of Humanity attracted over 270 participants and 50-plus volunteers.

Evan Guthrie successfully defended his title and was the only person to complete eight laps of the almost 10-kilometre course in four hours, setting a course record. Axel and Jodi Merckx reached the top podium in the mixed event. Awards were given to every category of racer from the three to six year old and to oldest combined team racers called the Old Broken Cranks.

“Most importantly, we raised over $40,000 to support Canadian Humanitarian’s projects in Ethiopia and delivered the equivalent of two packed fridges of food to the Summerland food bank,” said organizer Shei Seaton in an email. “This weekend was a great success.”
