Some of the top young football players from across the province will be showcasing their skills for scouts this weekend.
McLeod Park is hosting the first annual West Coast Identification Camp, with the action beginning at 9 a.m. on both days.
The camp is focused on showcasing football players between the ages of 15 and 19 for scouts representing junior football programs and Canadian Interuniversity Sport programs.
Similar camps are run along the east coast of Canada, the prairies and in the U.S.
It is run by pro football scouts and the camp test players’ athletic ability and football skills in both one-on-one and team play. The camp will be filmed and all test scores will be recorded, accredited and available to any interested coaches.
