Langley U16 baseball team cruising so far in B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League

Yi-Fan Pan improved to 5-0 with an earned run average below 1.00 as he struck out five in a 9-3 complete-game victory for the Langley Junior Blaze.

The U16 baseball team was hosting the Abbotsford Junior Cardinals on May 28 at McLeod Park and the win improved Langley to a B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League-leading 15-1.

Langley scored three times in the bottom of the first and had runs in the first five innings.

Jaron Jeske led the offence with a pair of RBIs while Yi-An Pan, Dominic Baptista, Markus Gregson, Cole Cantelon and Quintin Nakamura each drove home one run.

Langley is back in action with a doubleheader at Coquitlam’s Mundy Park on June 1 against the Redlegs (5-8).
