The Langley Junior Blaze wrapped up the B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League title with five straight victories.
The Blaze boast an impressive mark of 37-5, 7.5 games ahead of the second place North Shore Junior Twins (27-10) who still have five games to play. Langley has just two games to play.
The Blaze U16 baseball team went 5-1 from July 26 to 28, with their lone blemish being a 4-3 loss to the North Delta Junior Blue Jays on the first day.
The Blaze recovered, winning game two 8-5 and then sweeping both ends of doubleheaders on Sunday and Monday.
They beat the Coquitlam Redlegs 6-3 and 13-3 on Sunday and beat the Vancouver Junior Cannons 8-0 and 7-3 on Monday.
The first two games were at Mackie Park while the final four were at McLeod Park.

North Delta scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning after Langley had scored two to tie things up.
Markus Gregson and Jaron Jeske had the Langley RBIs while Parker Logan was tagged with the loss.
Logan came on in relief in the sixth inning of starting pitcher Yi-An Pan, who allowed three runs in five innings.

Jesse Unger had a pair of doubles and four RBIs as the Langley offence got back on track. Dominic Baptista also had a pair of RBIs and a double.
Aiden Mordecai earned the win, allowing three runs over the final three innings with five strikeouts. Matthew Poirier also struck out five in four innings of work.

Unger and Baptista again each drove in a pair of runs while Jake Polancic struck out six over 4.1 innings for the win.

After falling behind 3-0 in the top half of the first inning, the Blaze scored 13 unanswered runs.
Quintin Nakamura (three RBIs) and Yi-Fan Pan (two RBIs) led the offence.
Gregson pitched a complete game three-hitter.

Yi-Fan Pan pitched a complete game shutout, scattering eight hits over seven innings.
Broden Bydeweg and Gregson drove in a pair of runs apiece.

Langley scored four times in the fourth inning to break open a 3-0 lead.
Poirier led the way with a pair of runs and a pair of RBIs.
Logan picked up the win on the mound, allowing just three runs over 5.2 innings.

The Blaze close the regular season with a pair of road games, July 30 at the White Rock Junior Tritons and Aug. 2 against the Victoria Junior Mariners.
Langley enters the eight-team provincial championships as the top seed.
The tournament runs Aug. 8 to 10 in Victoria.
