A Nanaimo curler went in as one of the favourites as B.C. championships got underway this week. Marika Van Osch is part of the Corryn Brown rink competing at junior women’s provincials in New Westminster this week.
Brown, of Kamloops, has been a longtime friendly rival and, like Van Osch, has won multiple titles. The other members of the team are Dezaray Hawes of Anmore and Samantha Fisher of Kamloops. The team just returned from China where it won an international event while representing Canada.
