Junior Thunder fall to 0-3

Langley lacrosse squad done in by second period in 8-5 loss to Port Coquitlam

Two goals 31 seconds apart in the final minute of the second period sent the Langley Thunder to a third consecutive loss.

With the game tied at four, the Port Coquitlam Saints struck for the quick goals and would not surrender the lead, winning 8-5 in junior A B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League action on May 12 at the Langley Events.

The Thunder had led 2-1 after one period but surrendered five goals in the middle frame.

Nathan Mckeigan led the Langley offence with two goals and an assists while Tyson Kirkness, Trevor Chernoff and Dylan Lacroix plotted one goal apiece.

Langley (0-3) looks for their first win of the season on May 17 when they play at Queens Park Arena against the New Westminster Junior Salmonbellies. The Thunder also host the Coquitlam Junior Adanacs on May 19 at the LEC.
