Kane’s offensive outburst earns BCHL award

Chilliwack Chiefs forward Kale Kane scored five goals in three games and was named the junior A league's player of the week.

Chilliwack’s Kale Kane is the latest BCHL Player of the Week.

The Chiefs forward exploded for five goals and three assists as his team went 3-0.

Kane notched two goals, including the game-winner, and two assists in a 5-3 road win over Coquitlam where he was named first star. The Quebec native added two more goals and another first-star nod in the next game, a 4-1 home-ice win over Merritt.

Kane ended the week with a goal and an assist in Saturday’s win over Langley.
