The Chilliwack Centre of Excellence Paddling Club will run introductory kayak lessons Jan. 19 and 26 in the Cheam Centre pool.
The one-and-a-half hour sessions go from 8:30 to 10 a.m., focusing on the basics of kayaking in a lifeguard supervised environment. Instruction includes wet-exits, basic boat control, safety precautions and self-rescue techniques.
The cost is $60 for youths and $100 for adults.
