Sawyer Hunt scored twice as the Nelson Leafs cruised past the Braves in Spokane 6-2 on Saturday.
Ryan Piva, David Lenzin, Sam Weber and Dale Howell also scored for the Leafs (1-1-0), who found their offence after a 3-1 loss in the season opener Friday in Fruitvale.
Jason Sandhu was again solid in the Leafs’ net, making 30 saves.
Paxton Malone scored twice for the Braves (1-1-0), while goaltender Blake Norman stopped 35 shots.
The two teams meet in a rematch Friday when the Leafs host their home-opener.
