Langley’s Kathy Lim finished two strokes off the lead at the B.C. Junior Girls Championship last week.
The 16-year-old was consistent over her four rounds at The Dunes at Kamloops, shooting two-under-par 71’s the first three days.
She was one stroke back heading into Friday’s (July 4) final round.
But Kim shot a two-over-par 75 to place second behind Victoria’s Naomi Ko.
Kim finished with a four-under-par 288 while Ko was six-under-par 286.
With her second-place finish, Lim was chosen to represent B.C. at the Canadian junior girls championships, which will be held July 28 to Aug. 1 at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club in Thornhill, Ont.
