For a second straight year, the Credo Christian Kodiaks return home with the bronze medals.
The senior boys soccer team was in Kamloops for the Single A soccer provincial championships over the weekend, losing just once in five games.
But as luck would have it, that loss came in the semifinals to the defending champion Glenlyon Norfolk Gryphons.
And in that game, the Kodiaks thought they had gotten on the board with 20 minutes to play, but the goal was called back on offside. Ten minutes later, the Lions tallied the winner in the 1-0 victory.
Disappointed not to be playing for the gold, Credo did manage to refocus and came out with a decisive 5-0 victory over the West Point Grey Wolves.
Glenlyon, meanwhile, won the championship handily with a 5-1 victory over the Southridge Storm.
Credo Christian also beat Lakes District, Mulgrave and St. Ann’s to win their pool.
Kodiaks captain Caleb Schouten was chosen to the Commissioner’s 16.
