Kwantlen Polytechnic University Foundation raised $27,000 during its second annual golf tournament. The event took place at the Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey last month, with all proceeds benefiting student athletes.
“We are very grateful for the support of the sponsors, golfers and volunteers who helped make this tournament a success,” says Wayne McKay, foundation director and golf committee chair, of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Foundation.
“Proceeds from events like this provide important funding that allows our student athletes to compete in intercollegiate athletics while pursuing post-secondary education. Each time an athlete from Kwantlen steps out on the court or field, there is confidence in knowing both their community and university are behind them.”
