Dylan Lacroix scored in the final minute of play to earn the Langley Junior Thunder a single point on Saturday night.
Lacroix’s goal came with 44 seconds to play at Victoria’s Q Arena and helped the Thunder play the Victoria Junior Shamrocks to a 9-9 tie in B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League action.
Langley had led 7-3 midway through the game but Victoria scored six of the final eight goals.
Neither team was able to score in the 10-minute overtime period.
Lacroix led Langley with a goal and four helpers while Pearson Willis (two goals, two assists) and Parker Willis each had two goals.
Alex Gibbs (one goal, two assists), Ethan Goodman (one goal, one assist), Josh Kelly (one goal, one assist) and Connar Abrams (one goal) rounded out the scoring.
The tie came on the heels of an 18-9 loss on June 25 at the Langley Events Centre against the Coquitlam Junior Adanacs.
The Thunder had an early 3-1 lead but could not sustain the advantage against the league’s top team, who improved to 17-1.
Langley fell to 5-11-3 with two games to play.
James Rahe had a monster game for Langley with five goals and four assists.
The Thunder finish the regular season with home games against Delta (July 2) and Nanaimo (July 5).
