Langley quartet off to next round of BC Cup tryout process

Two goaltenders, one defenceman and one forward among invitees

Four Langley hockey players will hit the ice in Shawnigan Lake next week.

Goaltenders Boston Bilous and Alex Rolfe, defenceman Alex Cotton and forward Josh Williams are taking part in the 44-player camp July 13 to 17 in Shawnigan Lake.

Bilous, Rolfe and Williams are on Team Blue while Cotton will skate on Team Grey.

The players were invited based on their performance at the U16 BC Cup back in April.

Following the Shawnigan Lake camp, the 44 players will be evaluated at the start of the 2016/17 hockey season and 20 will be selected to compete in the 2016 Western Branch Challenge Cup in October.

All four Langley players were selected in April’s Western Hockey League bantam draft with Williams going fifth overall to Medicine Hat, the highest-ever selection for a Langley Minor Hockey Association product.
