Three Langley softball players are among the 40 invitees to the junior national team evaluation camp being held in Cloverdale from May 23 to 26.
Alisha Welch, Marley Parker and Tori Belton are all competing for roster spots for this summer’s world junior championships.
While Welch competes for a spot in the middle infield, Parker and Belton are looking to land roster spots among the junior national team’s pitching staff.
Parker is a 17-year-old in Grade 11 at Walnut Grove Secondary. She pitches for the Delta Heat 96.
Belton is an 18-year-old, Grade 12 student at Walnut Grove, who pitches for the Surrey Storm 95A squad.
And Welch is a 16-year-old Grade 12 student at Walnut Grove and Belton’s teammate on the Storm.
