It was a top-10 finish for Langley’s James Allenby.
The local golfer had a share of the lead after 36 holes but finished tied for sixth at the Canadian Tour’s Jamieson WFCU Winsdor Roseland Charity Classic in Windsor, Ont. over the weekend.
Allenby shot an opening round 65 and followed up with a 69. He closed with rounds of 70 and 72 to finish with a 276 four-under par, six strokes back of top spot.
So far this season, Allenby had made the cut in five of six Canadian Tour events and his top finish was a tie for third.
Allenby golfed collegiately at Texas El-Paso and then Oregon State University. He graduated from Langley Secondary in 2002.
