Langley free agent baseball player back with Detroit organization

Langley’s Jordan Lennerton is sticking with the Detroit Tigers organization.

The free agent baseball player announced via Twitter that he has re-signed with the Tigers, the team which drafted him in the 33rd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft.

Lennerton, a first baseman, has spent the past two seasons with the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens, Detroit’s top affiliate. He hit .249 with 10 home runs and 53 RBIs last season for Toledo in the International League. He has also won a Gold Glove the past two seasons for his defensive prowess.

A product of the Langley Blaze Premier program and graduate with Brookswood Secondary, Lennerton, who turns 29 next month, is currently playing winter ball in Puerto Rico.
