Lokombo stays atop CFL draft list

Abbotsford product Boseko Lokombo hung onto the top spot in the final edition of the CFL Scouting Bureau rankings released on Thursday.

Lokombo, a linebacker out of W.J. Mouat Secondary, is eligible for the CFL Canadian draft on May 6. He plans on returning to the University of Oregon Ducks for his senior season in the fall, with the NFL being his ultimate goal. He was also the top prospect in the December edition of the rankings.

The 6’3”, 233-pounder recorded 39 tackles last season, his first as a full-time starter, and helped the Ducks beat Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl. He’s fashioned a reputation for making big plays during his tenure with the Eugene, Ore. program, and the Ducks have won prestigious BCS bowls in each of his three seasons.
