North Delta wins Pee Wee football provincial championship

The North Delta Longhorns won B.C. Minor Football’s Pee Wee division final, defeating the Abbotsford Falcons 28-12. The Falcons had allowed only 18 points in their Valley Community Football League season.

“We came up against a quality opponent, and it just wasn’t our day,” Falcons team manager Paul Gervais said. “Most of our kids had pretty good games, but we just couldn’t stop them on a couple different drives.”

Tyson Philpot was voted MVP of the game for North Delta.
