Mount Cain opens new season

MOUNT CAIN - North Vancouver Island ski area marks partial opening New Year's Eve - will remain open through weekend

MOUNT CAIN—Conditions are described as “early season variable”, but the Vancouver Island’s northernmost ski area opened New Year’s Eve for a five-day holiday run.

Mount Cain will operate through Sunday, Jan. 4, with the cafe and accomodations also open. It is a partial opening, with some of the runs not yet ready for traffic, but volunteer groomers have worked to create great conditions on the open runs, the society’s web site announced.
