The Princess Margaret Mustangs went 2-2 placing fourth. The team began with a 46-43 win over Westsyde as Jacob Winstone led the team with 17 points and Prab Chahal added 14 points and five assists.

The Mustangs lost a tough semi-final game to Sahali 57-50 after holding a two point lead after the third quarter.

“I think we were a little tight at crunch time,” said coach Dan Van Os. “We could not get a crucial basket when it counted.”

The Mustangs then defeated Pleasant Valley 66-40 to set up a return game against Westsyde for third and fourth place.

“The deciding factor was rebounding,” said Van Os as Westsyde controlled the board at both ends and prevailed 53-40.

It was the last game for Mustang seniors Jacob Winstone, Gurk Klar, Paul Garcha, Damon Sarwara, Brett Van Os, Mat Zornes and Connor Graham.

Overall the team finished 19-11 with key wins over Oliver, Pen High and Delview.
