Mustangs field hockey lose twice

Princess Margaret Mustangs field hockey team loses to South Kamloops, Oliver.

The Princess Margaret Mustangs field hockey team lost both its games this week, 1-0 to the South Kamloops Titans and 4-1 against the Oliver Hornets.

Against the Titans on Monday, Joycelyn Legary, Alice James and Natasha Faye had strong performances, as well as goalie Emily Trupp, who was forced to face a penalty stroke, which she stopped. Against the Hornets on Wednesday, Marie Schottenhaml scored the only goal. Emily Bowen and Jamie Lezard picked up assists.

“We play Oliver again on the 17th so it will be a good challenge to see if we can improve upon the score,” said Mustangs co-coach Brenda Kelly.
