Nanaimo Buccaneers win 10-3

The Nanaimo Buccaneers dominated the visiting Comox Valley Glacier Kings in a 10-3 win Thursday at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

The Bucs dominated the visiting Comox Valley Glacier Kings in a 10-3 win Thursday at the Nanaimo Ice Centre, then stayed hot with a 5-3 road win against the Oceanside Generals two nights later.

In the blowout, Trent Bell, Trey Watson and Danny Pion scored a pair of goals each and Nolan Richardson, Cole Broadhurst, Jayden Schubert and Brady Chin also tallied. John Hawthorne made 27 saves for the win.

On Saturday, the game was tied 2-2 after two periods before the Bucs blitzed the Gens with 20 shots and three goals in the third. Bell, Jacob Carr, Patrick Poets, Broadhurst and Chin scored and Cameron Donn made 20 saves for the win.

GAME ON … The Buccaneers and Generals play a rematch Thursday (Dec. 8) at 7:15 p.m. at the NIC.
