Nanaimo teams all medal at bantam lacrosse tournament

The 36th annual Tim White Memorial Bantam Lacrosse Tournament took place at Nanaimo Ice Centre last weekend.

The 36th annual Tim White Memorial Bantam Lacrosse Tournament took place at Nanaimo Ice Centre last weekend. The tourney was hosted by the Nanaimo District Lacrosse Association.

Saanich won gold in the A division, beating Peninsula 10-2 in the final. Nanaimo earned bronze after doubling up Penticton 6-3.

In the B division, it was Oceanside taking the win, squeaking past Nanaimo by a 5-4 score in double overtime. Saanich won bronze with a 10-1 romp against Vancouver.

In the C division, Victoria-Esquimalt beat Cowichan 8-3 for gold, with Nanaimo taking bronze with a 3-2 win versus Delta.
