The Okanagan Hoops continue to dominate on the basketball court winning their last three games.
The Hoops Under 14 girls coach Chris Terris said there has been a drastic development in their shooting game.
“One marked improvement over the Spring season has been the girls willingness to shoot the ball from the outside, including the three point line.”
In their first game on May 23 in Vernon, the Hoops defeated the home team 51-34. Olivia Devito scored 10 points with Mckenna Clark and Kayley Davies coming in right behind her with nine points each. In a re-match the Hoops had a defensively sloppy first half and narrowly slipped by Vernon 23-22.
“The girls really tightened things up after halftime and did a better job defending the paint and rebounding the basketball,” said Terris.
Devito drained 10 points in a 43-29 win over the Kelowna Storm. Kali Loewen gathered six rebounds and Kalli Doell led the team in steals with five.
