Outlaws add to Knights home woes

Mission City visitors break open tie game with five straight goals in 9-3 rout of Langley

In a rematch of last season’s playoff series, it was the Mission City Outlaws once again prevailing over the Langley Knights.

The Outlaws scored five straight second-period goals to break open a 2-2 tie and coast to the 9-3 victory on Thursday night at the George Preston Recreation Centre.

The loss keeps the junior B Knights winless on home ice (0-3) this Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

Bryce Pisiak paced the visitors with three goals while Jackson Waniek, Evan Kite and Tristan Craighead scored for the Knights.

The game was marred by a line brawl early in the third period which saw a dozen players tossed.

Langley, which fell to 1-3-0-1 on the season, will look to get back on track when they visit the Ridge Meadows Flames on Sept. 25. The Knights next home game is against the Aldergrove Kodiaks on Sept. 28 at the Preston Centre.
