Parliament to swim at B.C. Summer Games

A swimmer from the Ocra Swim Club in Summerland will compete in the B.C Summer Games this weekend.

Brooklyn Parliament, 14, has qualified in sprint freestyle and will be swimming in seven events at the games.

“Brooklyn brings a lot of energy and experience to the Summer Games team,” said Delano Ducheck, an Orca swim coach. “She will be one of the fastest swimmers in her discipline and will be looking at medalling at the event.”

A total of 23 athletes from the Okanagan zone will compete in swimming events at the summer games in Abbotsford.
