Chilliwack Chiefs grad Aidan Pelino has earned Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Week honours after turning in two clutch performances on the road last weekend.
Tending net for the Bentley University Falcons in a back-to-back against the Robert Morris Colonials, Pelino earned his first NCAA shutout with a 3-0 win Friday.
Pelino stopped 28 saves for the goose-egg. He turned aside 32 of 33 pucks the next night as the Falcons and Colonials played to a 1-1 draw.
Pelino is now 3-2-2 on the season with a 2.57 goals-against average and .930 save percentage. His team is 9-10-5 in Atlantic Hockey play, leaving them eighth in the 12 team circuit.
Bentley takes on ex-Chief Spencer Graboski and his Sacred Heart Pioneers in a home-and-home this weekend.
